A Point to Ponder . . . . .

The old adage that "People have  to hit bottom before they are ready to change" isn't always true. Sometimes when people hit bottom, they grab a shovel and start digging.

Despair is seldom a healthy or long term motivation.

But Hope Is.

  1. I didn't write that, but I've been there. How about you?

  2. Yep. Living it. I get by...by being stubborn. Ask anyone. I have people who will help, but the most I will ask of them is a ride now and then. They wanted to do more, but I prefer to do things myself. Even if it takes hours to do something that takes others a few minutes.

When I'm down, I put on a Christmas movie. What I refer to as my 365 Days of Christmas.

I can do things like others I know. One expects his wife to wait on him hand and foot. Even though he can walk he uses a wheelchair. Another refuses to change his lifestyle and expects his wife who works to pick up the slack. The third acts line a toddler, after his accident. He had surgery but has no pain and can move/walk when he wants to. He just rarely wants to. He expects his wife, children, and grandchildren to do every thing for him. Even wipe his butt.

But I'm rarely down. I see life as...I have a meme with a picture of a mountain on it. It says -

"God has assigned this mountain to you. It is yours, so that others may see that mountains can be overcome."
